  • What happens after I complete the Graduate Programme?

    Our programmes are varied and challenging but with great opportunity to develop and excel. We’ll support you through each stage of your programme but your success is for you to determine. Take the opportunities. Work hard and ask questions. Challenge yourself and bring the right attitude and skills. At the end of the programme we’ll work with you to identify a permanent position within the business.

  • What kind of person are you looking for?

    We’re looking for the best. Those that are passionate about what they do and achieving excellence. Those that are hungry to learn and develop themselves both technically and personally. Those that have the initiative to suggest new ideas and are not afraid to ask questions. Those that can work as a team and will build effective networks. Those that are organised and prepared for anything and can represent the business professionally internally and externally.

  • What qualifications do I need?

    Minimum of 2:2 degree qualification (achieved or expected to achieve). We’re open to consider different degree subjects, although please be aware that due to the nature of some roles certain functions will look for specific subjects (e.g Marketing or Finance). You must also hold five GCSEs Grade A-C (or equivalent) including Maths and English.

  • How does the Graduate Programme work?

    As a Graduate at Kuehne + Nagel you’ll benefit from our onboarding support before joining. That way, you’ll feel fully prepared for day one. First, you’ll enter our induction programme where you’ll meet other graduates, business sponsors and programme mentors. Then comes the first placement…the first step of the Kuehne + Nagel journey.  You’ll then progress through a combination of both on-the-job experience to gain a full understanding of your business area, and off-the-job development through our graduate leadership modules.

  • How does the Summer Placement work?

    Placements will be dedicated to one area of our business so you can learn and contribute as much as possible during your 10 weeks with us. After completion of our Induction Programme you’ll be out in the business gaining hands on experience and learning about how we deliver innovative and successful solutions to meet our customers’ requirements. Throughout your placement you’ll have the support of our Talent Resourcing Team and, more importantly, be part of a wider trainee network. This means having access to our intranet community where advice and guidance is regularly posted to support you across the business.

  • Are there any age restrictions?

    There’s no age restriction for our programmes, so as long as you meet the qualification and application requirements then you’re eligible to apply.

  • What happens after I complete the Summer Placement?

    Our Summer Placements are for 10 weeks and provide a great opportunity to learn all about our business.  More than that, they’re the chance for you to demonstrate your performance and potential, so you can be considered for a future graduate programme or direct entry position. At the end of the placement your performance will be reviewed with your line manager. This information will be fed in to the Talent Resourcing team who can consider you for future opportunities.

  • Where will my induction take place?

    Our graduates will be based across the UK and you’ll find that as part of your programme you rotate around different locations. However, there’ll be a dedicated Graduate Induction and On-boarding Programme which will be communicated at offer stage. You’ll have the opportunity to meet the Talent Resourcing Team, the current graduates and your fellow graduate cohort – a great start to building your network of contacts across the business.

  • How long is the recruitment process?

    Our graduate recruitment campaign starts September 29th 2017 and applications will be welcomed until 29th October. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis but please don’t worry if you don’t hear anything for a while as we’ll always contact everyone no matter the outcome. As part of the process you may be invited to complete an online test and video interview. The final stage will be an assessment centre which will be held between November and December 2017. Assessment dates will be highlighted on our job adverts so make sure to keep the date free in your diary! Summer Placement recruitment will begin in 2018.

  • Will I have to relocate if I'm successful?

    Yes. We’re a nationwide business and therefore graduates could be based in any of our locations. The Graduate Programme, is structured around rotational placements to provide the broadest learning possible. Support and guidance will be provided to ensure that any move is smooth and trouble free and we provide a one-off payment of £500 to help with relocation costs.
    Note: Summer Placements will remain at one location or at least stay within the same geographical area during the 10 weeks and this is indicated in the Summer Placements section of our website.

  • How do I stand out in my application?

    Be different. Don’t follow the crowd and think carefully about whether your application really demonstrates your passion and potential. We’re looking for graduates that are hardworking and committed but that also bring enthusiasm, bright ideas, different ways of thinking and aren’t afraid to think outside the box.
